Chosen by Jack, a young wizard, streetwise Aldwyn must pass himself off as a magical cat. But will the other familiars - a bird called Skylar and a tree frog called Gilbert - discover he is a fake without the tiniest whisker of magic? When Jack and his apprentices are kidnapped the three familiars set out to rescue them.
